Winship Elementary Announcements

  • Read to Achieve with the Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics are sponsoring a reading program at the Winship School. Read to Achieve is a program that encourages students to read at home for 30 minutes/day, 5 days/week. Students who meet this goal for five months (November, December, January, February, & March) will attend a Boston Celtics Carnival on June 7th. In addition, if the Winship has a high enough percentage of students meeting their reading goals, our students will be eligible for a visit with Celtics players in December and February. Students in grades 3-5 will be keeping reading logs to track their progress toward these goals. Please see your child's classroom teacher for more information.
