    Community-Based Family Resources during Virtual Learning  

    BPS Translation Services 
    All parents have the right to information about their child’s education in a language they understand. When your child enrolls in school, the District will ask you about the language you would like to use when communicating with the school. This helps your school identify your

    language needs so they can provide an interpreter or translated documents, free of charge.

    Winship Makerspace 
    The Winship Makerspace was started in February of 2016 to give students and families an opportunity to pursue their interests in science, art, technology, and engineering practices.  Our goal is for students to practice and grow their creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration skills through self-directed projects.

    Winship School Parent Council
    The SPC brings all parents in the school community together to support the school and advocate for quality education.

    Winship School Site Council
    Many decisions affecting the education of BPS students are made in schools. School-based decision-making is the responsibility of the School Site Council. 

    Allston-Brighton Family Network 
    "The mission of the Family Nurturing Center is to build nurturing communities where children are cherished, families are supported, and public and private policies promote healthy human development. To support this mission, the FNC works with parents and organizational providers in Allston-Brighton to coordinate the Allston-Brighton Family Network (ABFN)."
    Boston Partners in Education 
    "Boston Partners in Education enhances the academic achievement and nurtures the personal growth of Boston's public school students by providing them with focused, individualized, in-school volunteer support."
    Boston Public Library 
    The BPL can assist in your child's education in a number of ways. They offer a Free Homework Assistance Program, Monday-Thursday, 3:30-5:30 PM, at all BPL locations. Computers with online access available for public use. And, of course, the BPL book collections have unlimited potential to enrich your child's learning.
