Last year, our 4th grade students had the opportunity to do some hands-on learning abroad the historic Roseway, a 100-year-old tall ship that offers outdoor educational experiences to students in the Boston area. Check out what our 4th graders learned!
Welcome to the the true meaning of Dr. King’s dream. Students are not judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. We celebrate and teach a different character trait each month to help build students’ self-esteem. To achieve academic success, we must first teach responsibility and productivity. Students are taught to serve the school and the community for the common good.
The Martin Luther King, Jr. K-8 School, better known as the King K-8, is located at 77 Lawrence Avenue in the Grove Hall neighborhood of Dorchester. Parking is available on Lawrence Avenue and behind the school on Intervale Street.
The main entrance of the school is located to the right of the building, under the flagpole. Our main office is on the second floor. We request that all visitors sign in at the main office when they visit the King.
If you are visiting the school and need to access the parking lot, the entrance is located on Intervale Street.
