Welcome and thank you for visiting Urban Science Academy’s (USA) newly revamped website.  Our website has been designed to serve as a resource for our current students and families and to provide prospective students and families with an understanding of what makes USA a great school.  We strive on a daily basis to exude our core values of high expectations, high support, collaboration, respect, and community.  At the heart of our school – besides our students – is an incredibly committed and talented faculty and staff that strives to do right by all of our students all the time. 

USA was founded in 2005. Since this time the impressive work of our faculty, staff, and students has been widely recognized.  USA was named as a Massachusetts Commendation School in 2010, a full member of Schools That Can - an organization made up of the top performing urban public, charter, and parochial schools - in 2011, and an EdVestors’ School on the Move Finalist in 2011 and 2013.

Unique aspects of our school include co-teaching in most Lower Academy classes, an extensive Advanced Placement course program, numerous community-based partnerships, a rigorous humanities (integration of ELA and history) based platform, an array of science course offerings, an extensive integration of technology, an abundance of student leadership opportunities, a vibrant after school program, and a comprehensive network of student supports.

Our graduates, the vast majority of whom, go to college always consist of several students each year that earn full scholarships to some of the most selective four year colleges in the country.
