  • Partnerships Matter at the Murphy K-8 School

The Murphy School is proud to announce that today we are launching our first ever capital campaign. Our campaign, “Murphy Partnerships Matter,” raises funds to offset the financial costs of our valued school partners. With the support of BEDF, we have launched our campaign using the flipcause platform. Our Murphy Partnerships give our students a well-rounded day focusing on the “whole child,” social-emotional wellness and exciting opportunities like STEM and beyond. We have worked hard to establish these critical supports throughout the years and want to ensure that we can continue to provide these essential services that too often become “extras” in our fiscal budget. We aim to give all our students from K-8 a strong, well-rounded program complete with increased learning and enrichment opportunities. Our partnerships not only support our students’ academic goals, but more importantly, support their social emotional growth and learning. Our partnerships allow us to provide opportunities that enrich our students’ lives and open up the doors of possibilities for a successful future, as lifelong learners.” Every share, every like and of course, every donation counts! Our goal is to raise $10,000 dollars this month! We can do this if all families give just ten dollars but more is welcome. We are also asking that everyone share the link at least three times, via text, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or email. Share just three times and/ or give ten dollars! Then, we will reach our goal of $10,000 in one month.

  • Thank you- from Mrs. Sheppeck

In the spirit of gratitude, we want to thank you for your continued commitment to our remote learning schedule. Our daily attendance still continues to be very strong with daily average of over 96 percent of students engaging with us from K-8. We thank our families for establishing these strong routines. We know that learning from home is challenging and our teachers are working hard to make instruction relevant, interesting and of course, rigorous so our Murphy students continue to grow and thrive. We wish you all a peaceful, safe and relaxing holiday break. We are so grateful for our students, families, teachers, office staff and custodial staff who have collectively worked so hard to ensure the Murphy K-8 School remains a “First Choice for All Families.” Have a wonderful break!
