Externships are designed to equip teachers with experience and a social network of fellow educators that address real-world project and problem-based tasks that guide learning experiences for students as they enter into a rapidly changing world.
This year, we are thrilled to offer two exciting externship opportunities over the February break. Each opportunity will take place from February 16-19, 10 am-3 pm.
1. Lifesciences - Join Schrodinger, Novartis, and Eli Lily in following the drug development cycle with a special focus on the development of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine. Externs will get a crash course in the content surrounding the processes each company participates in. They'll also have an opportunity to participate in a career panel focused on how BPS students can work in the Life Sciences industry and what's available to them.
2. Cybersecurity - Rapid7, Dell, and the Federal Reserve are excited to team up and share with externs all things cybersecurity. They will cover both what cybersecurity is exactly and how students can begin a career in the field. They'll cover things like digital citizenship and how each of their organizations deals with cybersecurity in a unique way. Cybersecurity externs will also have the opportunity to participate in a career panel.
