What We Do
The Office of Instructional & Information Technology's (OIIT) mission is to provide the technology foundation, vision, leadership, and support for the members of the Boston Public Schools community in the use of technology. We support technology use and integration to achieve the district's academic and operational goals to increase student performance and to close the achievement gap.
Who We Are
The Office of Instructional and Information Technology is comprised of 4 major functional areas to support the needs of our schools:
Infrastructure - Supporting the largest K-12 network infrastructure in New England, the Infrastructure Team provides 24/7 network connectivity and data services.
Applications - Our applications team supports a variety of cloud and in-house data systems and operations.
Support - Our Support Team consists of our Help Desk at the Bolling Building (accessible via phone or walk-up) and our school technicians who operate out of the Campbell Resource Center and provide in-school technical support.
Professional Learning - Our professional learning services provide training for existing technologies and help lead the district's adoption of new 21st century tools and learning styles.
