Family Resource Centers

Families with a child new to the Boston Public Schools can register at one of several Family Resource Centers (FRC).  Feel free to visit whichever center is most convenient; you are not limited to the center in your zone of residence. 

• East Zone Family Resource Center

• North Zone Family Resource Center

  NOTE new location in Madison Park Complex: closer to Roxbury Crossing MBTA, adjacent to Reggie Lewis Center, at playground entrance to Madison Park High School.

• West Zone Family Resource Center

Hours of Operation

PLEASE NOTE: All Family Resource Centers will be closed on Wednesday, November 25, 2009, for staff professional development.

All centers will close early (open 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.) on the following dates:

• October 7, 2009
• November 4, 2009
• December 2, 2009
• April 7, 2010
• May 5, 2010
• June 2, 2010

Peak Period: January 4 - March 19, 2010 (including February recess)

• Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Saturday registration! The East Zone FRC (1216 Dorchester Ave., Dorchester) will be open January 23 and 30, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

School Year (including December and April recess)

• Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Summer: June 29 - July 31, 2009

• Only the East Zone FRC is open during the summer months, daily from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• West and North Zone FRCs will resume the school year schedule on Monday, August 3, 2009.

Family Resource Centers are closed on federal, state and city holidays.

Satellite Registration Centers

The satellite registration center at the Jackson/Mann School is no longer in operation.

Please note that Boston City Hall will not be a registration site in 2010.
