School Choice Visibility Day

Boston Public Schools staff will visit various locations throughout the neighborhoods distributing information and answering questions about the school choice season.

Citywide Showcase of Schools

Saturday, October 23, 2010*
1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center
Every school in the district is represented at the Showcase, with principals, staff, students and parents present to describe what each school has to offer.

School Preview Time

November 1, 2010 - January 21, 2011
Every elementary, K-8, middle and high school in the district will host three or more open houses, school tours, or other activities to welcome prospective families. See schedules posted below. In all cases, be sure to call the school to confirm the date and time of any open house or other event.

Family Information Sessions

Each fall BPS hosts several information sessions to enable families to learn more about the registration and assignment process, and get answers to questions. Please check back for an updated schedule.

Registration

Begins January 4, 2011, for students entering Kindergarten, Grade 6 and Grade 9.
