Under Boston's student assignment plan, the city is divided into three geographic "zones" - North, East, and West - for elementary and middle schools. Parents may choose and apply for schools in the zone in which they live. There are also several citywide elementary and middle schools open to all students.
Below are the schools listed in each zone; select a school to see academic and demographic information and directions.
All high schools are citywide.
There are also Special Education Schools listed below.
Parents of new-to-Boston students must visit one of our Family Resource Centers or the Multilingual Communication & Placement Center.
Students who are currently enrolled in the Boston Public Schools will get their applications from their schools.
