Lee Academy

We are creating a K-8 pathway in the Lee building. Lee Academy offers a K0-1 program. Lee Elementary offers grades 2-5 in 2011-2012. It will add grade 6 in Fall 2012, grade 7 in Fall 2013, and grade 8 in Fall 2014. Lee Academy students are guaranteed admission to Lee Elementary School.

School Highlights:

• A pilot school offering a comprehensive program with high quality instruction and support for children ages 3 (K0) throughy grade 1 and their families
• Six pre-K classrooms accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, with 2 teachers for every 14 students; and small class sizes in K-grade 5
• Before and after school programs
• Science, art, performing arts, technology, and physical education
• Inclusion activities with our special education autistic classrooms
• A modern, open space facility with a gym, cafeteria, swimming pool, community garden, and performing arts theater
• School partners: Boston Medical Center, Children’s Hospital, Harvard Graduate School of Education, ReadBoston, and Open Circle social competency program.
