Sarah Greenwood K-8

The Sarah Greenwood School features dual language instruction (English and Spanish) in grades K1 through grade two, expanding by one grade per year.  Because we have a longer school day, we can offer enrichment such as art, debate, sports, customized math programs, challenge-based learning, Latin dance, and other special classes.  The extra time also allows teachers to determine more accurately what students need most in their instruction.

Our PBIS program teaches school behavior and routines, providing student incentives and positive messages. Our teachers integrate technology seamlessly into classes with Mac desktop computers, a new Chrome book cart, and Smartboards in each classroom.  In our robotics and engineering program, students create robots, cars, and other machines to learn about engineering. This allows students to practice their academic skills in a real-world manner.
We began a deep partnership in 2013 with Lesley University in which our teachers receive significant professional development to learn how to teach reading and writing more effectively.
The Sarah Greenwood School believes in educating and supporting the whole child. Through interns and full-time counselors, we are able to offer individual counseling to students in need throughout the school day.
Most importantly, we really care about our students!
• A “dual language” school, offering students the opportunity to learn in Spanish and English
• Extended day, with 100 minutes extra for all students every day
• Enrichment during the day, providing students with more than just academics
