Another Course to College 

  • Founded in 1976 as a college preparatory educational program for highly motivated juniors and senior who wanted or needed “another course to college”
  • Became a four-year pilot high school in 2003; enrolling students in grades 9-12
  • College admission is a graduation requirement.
  • A community that respects one another’s backgrounds and beliefs as well as differences in gender, ethnicity, class and sexual orientation. 
  • Small school consisting of 244 students, 22 teachers, 4 Student Support Staff
  • 1:11 teacher / student ratio
  • Rigorous curriculum with Honors classes, Advanced Placement courses, and dual enrollment
  • Focus on analytical reading and writing: Students learn how to write college-level papers
  • Sports collaboration with Brighton High School
