When to Register
If your child will be entering Kindergarten or Grades 6 and 9, you may register your child between January 4 - February 1, 2008 (Round 1).

To avoid long lines and to serve you better, we recommend the following schedule for registering.

If your last name begins with:

A - I	January 4 - 11, 2008
J - Q	January 14 - 18, 2008
R - Z	January 22 - 25, 2008
Open to all	January 28 - February 1, 2008

Starting February 6, 2008, you may register your child for all grades (K-12). Transfers for all grades may be submitted during this period also.

Rounds 2 - 4: For new registrations and transfers (Kindergarten - Grade 12)

Round 2	February 6 - March 14, 2008
Round 3	March 18 - May 2, 2008
Round 4	May 5 - June 6, 2008

Note to Current BPS Students
Boston Public Schools students currently enrolled Grades 5 and 8 will receive an application at school in early January. This form must be completed and returned to the student's current school no later than February 1, 2008.

Boston Public Schools students currently enrolled in Grade 1 at an Early Learning Center or Early Education Center will receive an application at school in February. This form must be completed and returned to the student's current school no later than March 14, 2008.

Assignment notices will be mailed 5-6 weeks after the end of each registration period.

Where to Register
You may register at any of the three Family Resource Centers. Feel free to visit whichever center is most convenient; you are not limited to the center for your zone of residence.
