Student authors win autographed hockey sticks; essays posted on Bruins website

Bruins essays 

BOSTON – Three Boston Public Schools students have been named winners of the Boston Bruins / ReadBoston “Stick With It” essay contest about teamwork. The young authors each win a hockey stick autographed by the team, and their winning essays are posted on the Boston Bruins website.

The winners are:

· Grade 3: Justin Baldassari of East Boston, Alighieri Elementary School, “Learning How to Read” (pictured here with Mrs. Lois Foley, Alighieri librarian);

· Grade 4: Maria Pimentel of Dorchester, Mendell Elementary School, “Helping Clean Up the Neighborhood”; and

· Grade 5: Jessica Ramnarain of Dorchester, Murphy K-8 School, “When I Bought My New House.”
