School Listings
There are 143 schools in the Boston Public Schools system. On these pages, you can search for particular schools using a variety of search filters, including:
- an alphabetical list of all schools
- schools by grade level (elementary, K-8, middle, high)
- search by distance from a particular zip code
- a customized search by level, school type, and zip code
IMPORTANT NOTE: These listings apply only to the 2008-2009 school year. The Boston School Committee has approved many changes recommended by Superintendent Carol R. Johnson in her "Pathways to Excellence" plan, including the expansion, relocation, consolidation, merger and closing of some schools, effective September 2009. Visit the "Pathways to Excellence" page for details.
The "What Are My Schools?" application allows you to enter your home address and see a personalized list of the schools for which you are eligible to apply, noting the schools where you have "walk zone priority" and schools where you are eligible for transportation.
