New / consolidated schools opening September 2009
In November 2008, the Boston School Committee approved Superintendent Carol R. Johnson's "Pathways to Excellence" plan to open, consolidate, close, expand and relocate some schools.
As a result, the following schools will be in operation beginning in September 2009 that are not in operation during the 2008-2009 school year. This page provides some basic information about these schools to assist families who are considering them during the school choice process. More information about these schools will become available later in the school year.
