WBZ and the Boston Public Schools launch Salute to Education Series
The Boston Public Schools is collaborating with WBZ/Channel 4 and several business partners to launch "Spotlight on Education," a television marketing campaign designed to highlight Boston's education reform efforts.
The campaign will feature a series of 30-second television spots, each sponsored by a BPS business partner, showcasing a particular reform effort or partnership. Each spot will air for two weeks. All costs to produce and air the spots were paid by the vendors, at no expense to the Boston Public Schools.
The first spot, scheduled to air in April, is sponsored by HP Hood. The spot will highlight Hood's work with BPS teachers and nutritionists to promote exercise and healthy eating. The second spot, sponsored by Xerox, will feature Madison Park Technical-Vocational High School.
