136 business and community leaders serve as "Principal for a Day"

PFAD logoBOSTON – Boston’s most powerful and influential leaders are going back to school.

Today, corporate and civic leaders will spend the morning learning about the joys and challenges of working as a public school principal. The 6th annual Principal for a Day program pairs 136 leaders from business, government, media, non-profit, arts and culture, education and other sectors with principals and headmasters in the Boston Public Schools. The event is co-sponsored by the Boston Plan for Excellence, Bank of America, and the Boston Public Schools.

Participants include:
· Keith Lockhart, Conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra,
· Myra Kraft, President and Director of the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation,
· Charles Baker, President and CEO of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care,
· Keith Motley, Chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Boston,
· Lou Casagrande, President & CEO of the Children’s Museum,
· Ellen Parker, Executive Director of Project Bread and the Walk for Hunger,
· Ed Linde, CEO of Boston Properties,
· as well as elected and appointed state officials, college presidents, and many more civic and community leaders.
