The Boston Higher Education Partnership (BHEP) is a cooperative effort on the part of 31 Boston area colleges and universities and the Boston Public Schools to support the academic achievement of the young people in Boston so that they can become engaged and productive citizens.

Boston Principal Fellowship (BPF)


Boston Principal Fellowship (BPF) is a one-year urban principal preparation program developed as part of Boston’s aggressive commitment to whole school improvement. The 12-month experience offers Principal Fellows intensive training in effective teaching and learning and school leadership through hands-on, in-school experience and course work in school leadership and whole school improvement.

Boston Teacher Residency (BTR)


BTR is a rigorous, school-based urban teacher preparation program that is part of the aggressive strategy of the Boston Public Schools (BPS) to improve instruction in every classroom.

During the full-time, 13-month program, Teacher Residents co-teach with a Mentor Teacher in a BPS classroom and take coursework taught by exceptional educators and academics. BTR graduates earn a Massachusetts Initial Teacher License and a master’s degree in education from the University of Massachusetts/Boston, and work toward dual licensure in special education. Tuition is fully covered and participants receive an $11,000+ stipend while in program.

Building Educated Leaders for Life (BELL)


BELL National is an after school service provider that services district students. Become a tutor with BELL National and gain valuable experience working with our students. You will also receive support from the BPS recruitment department to help you transition into various district opportunities ranging from paraprofessional, substitute and full-time teaching positions.

NBCA is a network of alumni and collegestudents who are committed to creating the next generation of civicleaders by encouraging community volunteerism, career explorationand college education to high school students while promotingHistorically Black Colleges and Universities.
