A special event for sixth grade students entering a new Middle School

Your mailed invitation is your ticket to this free event!

Please bring it with you to be eligible to win one of two Nook E-Readers!

Students with may bring up to two guests with them, and one must be an adult.

• Receive a free Middle O! t-shirt (rising sixth graders only)
• Enjoy games and school readiness prizes, including backpacks, books, notebooks, and more!
• Enjoy Fenway Franks and self-guided tours of the ball park!
• Meet your principals and hear from other students about what Middle School is really like!
• Access free health screenings and information from over 30 youth organizations.
• Meet Mayor Menino, Superintendent Johnson and other special guests
• Take your picture with Wally, the Red Sox mascot!
• Watch for your invitation to arrive in the mail in mid-August.

Getting to Middle O!

Buses

Free yellow bus transportation is available for families on a first come first served basis, at the following locations.

Buses will depart at 4:45 PM and will make a return trip at 8:00 PM:

Irving Middle School, Roslindale

McCormack Middle School, Dorchester

Umana Middle School, East Boston

Edwards Middle School, Charlestown

Parking

There is limited free parking for guests.

Event guests who bring their invitations may park free of charge after 5:00 PM at the 73 Brookline Avenue Lot across from Fenway Park, next to Boston Beer Works.  There will be a BPS parking monitor to assist you.

Additional parking is available at metered spots (25 cents per 15 minutes/two hour limit until 8:00 PM), and also in a number of area garages and lots. Rates vary by location.
